How we grade.
Every device is graded by hand against four cosmetic tiers before it ships. Grade is final at purchase. Returns are accepted within 7 days for functional issues only.
Grade A — Minimal Use
Looks practically new
Light scratches that you'd have to look closely to find. The kind of cosmetic wear that disappears under a screen protector. Bezels and corners are clean. Display is crisp with no burn-in or discoloration. These are the units that pass for new in most retail settings.
Grade B — Good Condition
Used but well-kept
Light to moderate scratches and scuffs from regular daily use. May show minor wear on the edges where the phone has been picked up and set down thousands of times. Display is fully intact. These are clean enough to resell as 'lightly used' with confidence.
Grade C — Fair Condition
Visible wear, fully working
Visible scratches and scuffs across the housing. May show edge wear from use without a case. Display works fully and screen is clean, though the housing is clearly not new. Often the best value tier for buyers focused on functionality over appearance.
Grade D — Parts & Repair
For repair shops and parts buyers
Grade D is a different category. These devices have known functional issues — cracked glass, display problems, failed components, or other defects that pulled them from the standard A/B/C grading flow. Sold as-is to repair shops, parts harvesters, and buyers who price specifically for refurbishment work. Not intended for resale as working devices.
What every device passes through.
Cosmetic grade tells you what a device looks like. The functional tests are why Grades A, B, and C ship with a “fully functional and tested” guarantee. Cracked or non-functional displays don’t ship at A, B, or C. They’re sold separately as Grade D for parts and repair buyers.
What we don’t claim.
We’d rather under-promise than oversell. Here are things we explicitly don’t guarantee, so you know exactly what you’re buying.
Returns for functional issues, not cosmetic ones.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for functional issues only. This covers dead-on-arrival devices, units that fail to power on or activate, and any non-working component. Cosmetic condition is final at purchase. Grade is the buyer’s responsibility to review before ordering. Buyers cover return shipping. Email orders@icswirelessinc.com within 7 days with the order number, IMEI, and a description of the functional issue.
